Italy's current standards are not in line with European objectives in terms of public transport safety due to the lack of compliance with the EU2144/2019 regulation on the compulsory use of advanced driver assistance systems for public transport. This is confirmed by the number of accidents on our roads involving LPT vehicles every year. Raising public and institutional awareness of the importance of this issue is now crucial, and the conference organised by the innovative startup Safe Industries, set up in the national strategic interest of urban security by the National Anti-Mafia Directorate and CBM Company, a world leader in the distribution of spare parts for public transport vehicles, aims precisely to address this challenge, which has regulatory and technical implications. The event will bring together all those involved in road and public transport safety, by setting new standards and outlining a roadmap for making our cities safer places.
