"The recognition of the vaccination status of the country of origin supplemented by a swab in the event of non-compliance with the Italian one allows fairs to return to being strategic hubs for the made in Italy SME business. The new Covid decree approved last night by the Government goes , once again, in the direction desired by the trade fair system and by Italian companies. Aefi, the Association of Italian exhibitions and fairs which represents 96% of the events in Italy, can only express its applause for a measure adopted with the utmost timeliness ”Thus the president of Aefi, Maurizio Danese, commented on the decree dismissed yesterday evening in the CDM.
“A breath of fresh air - continued Danese - which will guarantee full international character to the dozens of events postponed in the first two months, especially due to major defections by operators from third countries. A success also for Made Italy companies and for business tourism generated by the trade fair industry which, before Covid, recorded a turnover of over 23 billion euros a year ".
