The exhibitions will take place at the same time to create a hub for goods and passenger mobility that appeals to companies, who are joining up to both projects in large numbers.

Milan, 24 January 2024. Two distinct exhibitions, a host of complementary topics, a single location: Fiera Milano is gearing up to become the focal point of the debate on the future of sustainable mobility. This is because Transpotec Logitec (8-11 May), Italy’s leading event for goods transport and logistics and NME - Next Mobility Exhibition (8-10 May), dedicated to vehicles, solutions, policies and technologies for sustainable mobility, will run simultaneously. The second week in May will therefore offer a unique opportunity to reflect on the present and the future of goods and passenger transport – two parallel worlds that share many common challenges. This synergy appeals to both sectors, as demonstrated by the many companies that have already signed up.

In terms of manufacturers, there is already a wide range on offer at both events: from the world of heavy and light commercial vehicles, Ford Trucks Italia, Koelliker, Renault Trucks Italia and Volvo Group Italia are scheduled to take part at Transpotec, while Ayats, Isuzu, Karsan and Otokar have confirmed their attendance at NME.

IVECO and IVECO BUS are also confirmed participants. The brands have once again shown their faith in both events as locations for the presentation of their respective new products and services.

Commenting on Transpotec Logitec, Massimiliano Perri, Managing Director, IVECO Italy, stated: "We are proud to be taking part in the latest edition of Transpotec Logitec, a strategic event for the evolution of our sector. The show will be the ideal setting for the Italian market launch of the entire new IVECO range – the fully updated, latest generation of light, medium and heavy vehicles, focused on the needs of our customers. This state-of-the-art line-up is based on a multi-technology approach, complemented by a range of services designed to offer complete mobility solutions. In a highly dynamic industry, the IVECO brand has become a trusted partner for its customers, supporting them in facing change and successfully overcoming their everyday challenges. By creating and establishing a sustainable ecosystem of products and services, IVECO continues to lead the change towards an equally successful future."

Ahead of the Next Mobility Exhibition, Gianluca Annunziata, Managing Director, IVECO BUS Italy, commented: "IVECO BUS offers an increasingly complete range of powertrains, from traditional to alternative fuel types, such as electric, hydrogen and biomethane. These sustainable solutions are part of a significant drive towards decarbonisation, where collaboration between manufacturers, institutions and energy companies will play an increasingly key role. By positioning itself as a partner to public transport companies through its complete range and its efficient services designed around the customer, IVECO BUS is strengthening its role as a leader in the sector at an Italian and European level. It can ensure all-round coverage, from vehicles to recharging stations, as well as consultancy, fleet management and recharging. Achieving sustainable mobility is an ongoing commitment for IVECO BUS, and we are delighted to be once again taking part at the Next Mobility Exhibition with transport solutions that are receptive to new mobility challenges.”

A SYSTEMIC APPROACH

Transpotec Logitec and NME will each retain their own identity and develop their own project, but they will also offer operators the opportunity for interesting points of contact. The common theme of both events will be the evolution of mobility, with a significant focus on new vehicles and alternative fuels, as well as infrastructure-related prospects – a key element in promoting and supporting the energy transition.

Another point of contact between the two markets, and a strategic element of the sustainable shift, will be urban mobility. On the one hand, this involves green solutions for last-mile freight transport, such as electric vans and micro-mobility offerings and, on the other, integrated solutions for passenger transport that provide alternatives to the mass use of private cars, such as buses, trains, bikes, car and scooter sharing, as well as self-driving shuttles and futuristic air mobility. These are some of the examples of discussion points for companies, institutions and operators visiting the two shows.

Alongside the exhibition space both events will offer a packed schedule of initiatives, conferences and workshops to explore and analyse the various agenda topics and lay the foundations for meeting transport and logistics challenges: an opportunity to discover new technologies and solutions to achieve the common goal of sustainable and safe mobility for all.

NME-Next Mobility Exhibition runs at Fiera Milano from 8 to 10 May 2024. Transpotec Logitec, meanwhile, will take place from 8 to 11 May. Visitors will be able to attend both events with a single admission ticket.
