E-ticketing, in the context of “Mobility as a Service” (MaaS) takes on an even more relevant role for Italy, considering the initiative “Mobility as a Service for Italy” (MaaS4Italy). This national project seeks to transform the way people move by integrating different modes of transport through a centralised digital platform. In this vein, the renewed partnership between Next Mobility Exhibition and Club Italia, an association that represents the most important ticketing companies and aims at stimulating the use of public transport, is of particular significance.
In fact, e-ticketing, as an integral part of MaaS4Italy, becomes the hub for simplifying the booking and payment process for multi-modal travel and allows users to access various transport options, including trains, buses, bike-sharing and ride-sharing services, through a single digital interface. The aim is to make travel smoother, more efficient and sustainable for citizens and visitors. MaaS4Italy not only improves the passenger experience, but also the efficiency of the transport system in general by facilitating real-time data collection and analysis.
A platform, represented by Club Italia member companies, that provides a comprehensive overview of travel options, encouraging a transition to more sustainable modes consistent with the country's mobility goals. With the presence of Club Italia, Next Mobility Exhibition is enriched and opens up its offer to the worlds of IT and digital technology that become platforms for sustainability and innovation for the entire passenger transport system.
